SUN ON THE MOUNTAINS
SUN ON THE MOUNTAINS is the home of the James family, the main characters in this series of historical novels about Western Canada, particularly the area around Calgary, Alberta.
In the late 1700’s, the James family built their Sun On The Mountains trading house on the Bow River. To the west, they could see the snow-blazed peaks their Native trading partners and cousins called The Shining Mountains.
“When you can see the Sun On The Mountains, you know we are near,” the family said. “You will be welcomed.”
“You cannot be Canadian and NOT have read the Sun on the Mountains books!”
